Merino Cottage is a unique one bedroom cottage. Once a railway station located in the small hamlet of Merino in the western district of Victoria, it is now a beautiful self-contained space. Its romantic country style interior retains much of the charm and character of the 1884 building.

Set within our gardens at Hedge Farm, Merino Cottage is a gorgeous place for a get-away. Merino Cottage consists of open lounge/kitchen, bedroom with adjoining ensuite in one remarkable historic building.

Hedge Farm’s Merino Cottage is the perfect country retreat for two with a luxurious queen size bed, kitchenette and lounge, designer hand-made bath, open fireplaces in both ensuite and dining room, large veranda and picturesque views.

Continuing with Hedge Farm’s train theme once used by track gangs to repair the railways we are blessed to have two unique railway sleeper carriages. 

Glamping Sleeper Carriage with queen size bed and shower and toilet block close by. Wake to the birds chirping and the light breeze in the air. Enjoy your tea or coffee and take in the tranquil atmosphere. 

The peaceful country views need to be experienced to fully understand why at Hedge Farm is rated so highly. Simple in style - but special in the vibe it conveys.

Enjoy our extensive range of local wines as you sit on the veranda of the Merino or sleeper carriage and watch the sun set.

We are just one hour out of Melbourne – half way between Woodend and Kyneton.

The cottage and glamping carriages are available weekends and weekdays for a minimum of 2 nights stay. Due to events and weddings both accommodations are only available on a request bases.
